Happy Sad Man is a charming and uplifting documentary that provides a truthful look at men's mental health with insight into the lives of five very different Australian men.
Touching, funny and tender, this must-see documentary is set to shine a light on and change the dialogue around masculinity and mental health.
By watching the film and attending the Q&A we are inviting you to be a part of this important conversation and culture change. For more information visit the Happy Sad Man website.
CFA Wellbeing Consultant Naomi Engelke said due to the current circumstances we’ll had to more the screening online.
“We would love to be able to get together and watch this movie, but due to the current circumstances we are inviting you to screen the film at home at a time that suits you and then join us for a Q&A so we can get together and talk about it.
“This invitation is open to all CFA volunteers and staff as well as family members of CFA members.
“If you would like to forward this invitation onto your CFA colleagues please feel free to do so, we hope to see you all there!”
If this sounds like something you are interested in, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Register your interest through the wellbeing team and you will receive a link to screen the film in your own time and then attend the live Q&A with a panel of guests including the filmmaker and one of the individuals in the documentary. We only have limited tickets to this event so please only register if you are confirming your attendance, if we receive a lot of interest we will be able to schedule another screening to ensure nobody misses out
Step 2: Get some snacks and settle in to watch the film (you will be sent a link to do this two days before the Q&A). You can screen the film online any time between when you receive the link and the Q&A which will be at 7:30pm 26 November. A captioned version of the film can also be arranged.
