Representatives from Balmoral CFA brigades, LandCare, Glenelg-Hopkins Catchment Management Authority, private landholders, Victrack, DELWP and Parks Victoria discussed a range of management issues, including vegetation management at Mathers Creek, Balmoral Recreation reserve, and roadsides. Recommendations from these workshops will be available to the community.

The next Integrated Land Management Workshop will be held on Wednesday 15 August at the Western Hotel from 10am to noon, and anyone interested is most welcome to attend.

In addition, a community working group is being formed to facilitate community involvement in the broader emergency management issues. Invitations have been posted to all residents and anyone wishing to be involved can email Sharon Mifsud at s.mifsud@cfa.vic.gov.au.
