A total of $1052.90 was raised for drought affected farmers at a fundraising barbecue, held at CFA HQ today.

The money goes towards the Lions Need for Feed campaign, which raises money for drought stricken farmers.

All CFA departments were represented at the barbecue, alongside CEO Paul Smith and Chief Officer Steve Warrington, who were also present.

Australian farmers are suffering through one of the worst droughts in recent times. Many CFA volunteers are farmers themselves, meaning the lack of rainfall hits them twofold.

Country music singer and CFA volunteer Kayla Dwyer entertained the crowd of around 100 people, while there were games and activities as well.
