CFA has launched a new social media mini-series exploring and promoting the roles and people within our brigades, titled: “Our people, Our CFA”.
The first video features Firefighter Maddie Coleman, who joined Mt Eliza Fire Brigade almost three years ago when she moved there with her dad.
Maddie said joining CFA helped her make friends, gave her confidence and helped her connect with her community.
“Being able to push myself as a firefighter, means I know I am capable of anything. I know if I can fight a fire - I can do any task that is put in front of me.”
The series aims to showcase not only the variety of roles within CFA, but the people behind them, their experiences and love for volunteering. Some other roles featured will be a CFA Captain, Lieutenant and brigade support roles.
The videos will run over the next five weeks on CFA social media channels including YouTube.
