CFA CEO/CO Steve Warrington and VFBV CEO Adam Barnett have described plans for the Mooroopna 2020 State Championships as the beginning of a new era" for the event.
While launching a new Facebook page for the CFA/VFBV Firefighter State Championships, the pair said the event was being transformed into a celebration of CFA to encourage members' families and the broader community to attend.
As well as the traditional competition events, organisers are also planning various family-friendly activities to encourage those not competing to attend the event.
There will also be opportunities for CFA members to take part in virtual reality training exercises and find out about the latest equipment and trucks under development.
The Mooroopna 2020 'Celebration of CFA', being held over the weekend of March 27-29, is expected to be one of the biggest regional events of the year in the Greater Shepparton area.
