Truck fire near Hamilton

CFA firefighters responded to a truck fire near Hamilton this morning, 9 February.

CFA was called to the incident just after 6.00am on Glenelg Highway at Tarrington, 8km east of Hamilton.

The truck, which was carrying general goods, was well alight when crews arrived on scene.

It’s believed a truck and 4WD collided on Glenelg Highway.

The incident was brought under control at 8am. Firefighters remain on scene.

Glenelg Highway has been closed as a result of the accident.

16 CFA trucks attended the incident. Ambulance Victoria, SES and Victoria Police are also on scene.
