A house was destroyed in Upwey last night after fire engulfed the single-storey home.
CFA firefighters were called to the scene in Glenfern Avenue just before 11pm and found the house well alight.
A teenager inside the house managed to escape with no injuries. Another woman who lives at the house is unaccounted for at this time.
The fire was brought under control around 11.15pm.
The cause is undetermined at this stage. Fire investigation will take place today (9 Oct).
There were 9 CFA vehicles on scene.
