2015 Good Friday Appeal events

CFA is proud again to support the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

The activities will start on Thursday morning, with CFA and MFB joining forces for the 6th Annual CFA/MFB 'Two services – one cause' Royal Children's Hospital 14-hour relay. This year the event will take place in Bourke Street Mall and CFA/MFB members will be running for the cause on treadmills from 7am to 9pm raising awareness and money for the Good Friday Appeal.

We will also be participating in the Kid’s Day Out on Friday at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre with entertainment acts from Captain Koala and Friends, and the CFA band the Red Austins. Also there will be a fire truck and the Mobile Education Unit in attendance providing a variety of activities for the kids. Follow this link for more information about the day.

Aside from this we have hundreds of members that throughout the year, and on the day shake tins to collect money, or fundraise for the Appeal. It’s a cause that CFA members hold close to their hearts, and is a tradition for many, with CFA involvement dating back to 1951.

Watch the Good Friday Appeal telethon on Channel 7 at 10.30pm where the Deputy Chief Officer Bruce Byatt and the Langwarrin Fire Brigade will present a cheque on behalf of CFA members announcing the total amount raised.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter.
