A house in Brown Hill near Ballarat was completly destroyed by fire overnight.
CFA crews were called to the house fire around 11.40pm.
Ballarat City Senior Station Officer Kade Dowie said the house was believed to be unoccupied.
“Crews were called to a single storey weatherboard house which has been totally destroyed by fire,” he said.
Firefighters had the house fire under control within 10 minutes. Crews remained at the scene into the early hours of the morning blacking out after the fire.
Crews from Ballarat City, Ballarat and Glen Park attended.
Police and CFA will investigate the cause.
