Busy times for Maldon Fire Brigade

Maldon Fire Brigade has been very busy with training over the past month attending training exercises and making use of various props located in the District.

On Sunday 10 July the brigade held a structural fire fighting exercise at Maldon Primary School. Members from Castlemaine and Newstead & District also came out for the day and joined in with the training. A demonstration of skills in structural firefighting and the use of the defibrillator were on display on the day.

Earlier in the month the brigade visited Castlemaine Fire Station working with Chewton Fire Brigade on the domestic mobile prop. They also joined the Goldfields Group in training on the car mobile prop at the Maryborough Fire Station.

A visit to Bendigo Fire Station for BA cylinder refilling also created an impromptu tour of the station for junior member Bonnie.  Thanks for SSO Mick Lavery for being an invaluable tour guide.
