Celebrate, take action and #BeBold

A ‘Be Bold Breakfast’ hosted by CFA, in celebration of International Women’s Day, will be held this year in Cohuna, with a free breakfast kindly cooked by the Cohuna Men’s Shed.

The breakfast will be held next week on Wednesday, 8 March from 7.15am to 9am at Factory and Field (17 Leitchville Rd, Cohuna). Attendees will be given the chance to ask questions of the four guest speakers:

  • Dr Shabnam Amiri of Kerang Dental Surgery
  • Girgarre Captain Maree Gadzinski
  • Bamawm Extension Captain George Calleja
  • District 20 Operations Manager Peter Taylor.

“This initiative is one of many that you will see happening across District 20 as we roll out our Leading Change Together Action Plan,” said Peter.

“We are promoting diversity and creating inclusive environments for all members of our communities. Anyone who wants to make a positive contribution to CFA and their community is welcome within our local brigades.”

Community and brigade members are asked to please RSVP to Cohuna Neighbourhood House by calling 5456 4666. Barista-style coffee will be available for purchase on the day.

The Be Bold Breakfast is proudly brought to you by CFA in partnership with Cohuna Neighbourhood House, Factory and Field and Gannawarra Shire Council.
