Four CFA units from Wandong, Wallan, Epping and District 12 HQ responded and are on scene. SES crews and Ambulance Victoria are also on scene.

The incident involved two trucks.

One occupant was trapped. Epping CFA rescue crews and SES worked together to extricate the patient.

The incident was listed as under control at 7.54am.

The occupant was successfully extricated by CFA and SES crews at 10.07am and a stop was issued on the incident.

Wandong Fire Brigade Captain Yorin Miller said CFA and SES rescue crews worked efficiently to free the patient.

“Everyone worked really well as a team.” Cpt Miller said.

“With the occupant being in a truck, the challenge was that the patient was located far off the ground, which made them difficult to access.

“Rescue crews had little space to operate so they did a great job of effectively working together to overcome these challenges and safely extricate the patient.”

The patient has been handed to Ambulance Victoria.
