CFA members are on the move!

The 2015 Get Moving Challenge is well underway with over 80 teams and almost 700 CFA members walking all around the state in the name of good health.

The Get Moving Challenge is a pedometer competition within CFA with prizes up for grabs for the individuals and teams who take the most steps during the 8 week competition.

The 2015 Get Moving Challenge began on Monday 28 September and is due to conclude on Sunday 22 November 2015. Throughout the 8 week challenge members are encouraged to take action to increase their daily step count and improve their overall health. Members are also encouraged to participate in Weekly Challenges to improve other aspects of their health. The Weekly Challenges are:

Week 1: Get Checked up- book in ay routine health checks that you may be due for.

Week 2: Get Fresh - eat two serves of fruit and five serves of vegetables every day.

Week 3: Get Hydrated - drink plenty of water and avoid sugary drinks.

Week4: Get Cooking - skip the takeaway and cafes and prepare your own meals.

Week 5: Get a Good Sleep - put yourself first and make sure you're getting enough sleep.

Week 6: Get Stretched out - do some stretches to improve muscle flexibility

Week 7: Get Some Air - get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Week 8: Get Creative - show us what you do to be more active.

 

The Challenge winners will be annouced the week of Monday 30 November with prizes presented to the three individuals who take the most steps during the 8 week compeititon, and to the three teams who take teams who average the most steps per person throughout the competition.
