CFA/MFB 2015 Fire Services Relay

It’s on again folks! The 6th Annual CFA/MFB 'Two services – one cause' Royal Children's Hospital 14-hour relay.

This annual event sees the CFA and MFB running clubs join forces to raise funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Good Friday Appeal in conjunction with the Uncle Bobs Club.

The aim of this run is to raise awareness of the Good Friday Appeal with people in the city for the 14-hour period and to receive donations for this special cause.

We are looking for people who are interested in running/jogging laps and interested in fundraising (tin rattling) in the vicinity of the runners.

The relay event for 2015 is from 7am to 9pm on Thursday 2 April.

The team will have, at all times, one CFA runner and one MFB runner completing a lap of a city block in Melbourne’s CBD.

Starting at Bourke St Mall runners will run along, Elizabeth Street, Collins St and Swanston St.

In 2014 The Relay raised $30,008 in the space of 14 hours and 186 laps of the Melbourne city block were completed - the equivalent of running from Melbourne to Bendigo.
