CFA is currently undertaking a planned, roadside burn at Pomborneit.
The burn started about 10.30am today with six tankers and three slip-ons on scene, together with VicRoads and police.
More than 4.5 kilometres of roadside along the Princes Highway will be burnt in an effort to reduce fuel loads and the fire risk in the area.
Pomborneit and District Captain Terry Place said the burn had gone well and was expected to be completed around 3.00pm today.
