Clonbinane brigade celebrates station opening

On Sunday 2 April, Clonbinane Fire Brigade's new fire station was officially opened by CFA Board Member Lynda Hamilton with a ribbon cutting.

Captain Ross Hibbert did an outstanding job of chairing the afternoon’s activity that included National Medal presentations, service awards and long service medals.

Attending were CFA Board Member Lynda Hamilton, Operations Manager Rob van Dorsser and BASO Tracey Mastropavlos.

National Medal recipients were Trevor Viénet, Stephen Farnay and Sam Bugeja.

Five-year service awards: John Mahoney and Meagan Hibbert

Ten-year service medals: Jaike Ludewig, Jeremy Linton, Andrew Hibbert and Joel Page

15-year service medals: Greg Mallett, Eileen Bugeja, Tracey Mallett, Alex Samoilenko, Les Geraghty and Luke Viénet

25-year service medals: Sharon Hibbert and Trevor Viénet

30-year service medals: Peter Grass, Mark Kohler, Janice Pearce, Cathy Soulsby and Terry Catipovski

35-year service medal: Mark Jones

45-year service medal: Lyn Searle

Congratulations to all CFA members who received awards.

Following the ribbon cutting and awards ceremony, there was an amazing spread of food for afternoon tea. A huge thank you to those who baked, prepared and served food on the day. (Unfortunately we forgot to take a photo of the food!)
