CFA Incident Controller Craig Ferguson and Deputy Field Operations Officer Geoff Conway along with representatives from Hancock Plantations, Baw Baw Shire Council and Victoria Police will attend to inform the community of emergency procedures and how they can best prepare for the week ahead.

CFA Incident Controller Craig Ferguson said the fire is not yet control and has burnt over 230 hectares.

“Although the fire is burning at a steady pace, we do have concerns over the warmer weather later this week,” Incident Controller Ferguson said.

CFA, Forest Fire Management Victoria and Hancocks Victorian Plantations are expected to be assisting with this fire well into the weekend.

“It is important that residents continue to monitor fire information and weather conditions in their area through multiple information sources including the Vic Emergency app and tuning into local radio.

“We would strongly urge the community to come along this afternoon to ask questions.”
