National Volunteer Week in District 13

As part of National Volunteer Week, CFA District 13 engaged a professional writer to showcase the incredible diversity of our Volunteers.

We thought we would take the opportunity to highlight to the public the diversity found in CFA members, their various roles and the many services we provide to the community. We also wanted to share how the skills gained from CFA involvement transfer into the other areas of their life (work, social, personal qualities etc) and acknowledge those members whose roles are not highly publicised.

Using the expertise of a professional writer we developed over a dozen profiles of our Volunteer members which were chosen from each of our Groups. Four of the profiles were published in local newspapers, one short video clip posted on Emerald Fire Brigade's Facebook page and a large compilation of all profiles will be included in the National Volunteer Report magazine due out soon. These articles will also be used for recruiting and publicity throughout District 13 in the future.
