District 2 Supports - National Red Balloon Day

National Red Balloon day was created to honour and thank our brave and courageous fire fighters Australia wide. All profits from the sale of ‘Thank you Fireys’© merchandise will go back to fire services in each state or territory.

Last year around Australia, many communities held events in recognition of their local Fire Fighting Heroes. From Sausage Sizzles, Balloons on Letterboxes, Captain Koala appearances, visits to schools, preschools and community fundraisers, the message was clear: “Thank You Fireys”© for all you do and continue to do each and every day.

The Preservation Society will be in attendance with 2 of their appliances and they will have a range of information, brochures, etc and some children’s giveaways (not balloons as these are sold as a fundraiser).

Shortly all local brigades and groups will receive a brochure inviting their members to attend if they wish.
