District 23 members have taken a very proactive approach to supporting the White Ribbon campaign. Staff and volunteers threw their support behind the campaign in a stance to prevent men’s violence against women.
District 23 have had staff and volunteers from brigades, training and district staff all showed their support. Operations Officer Terry Heafield is very proud of the fact that CFA members are behind the cause and feels it is great to see CFA being so proactive and hopes that this can have a positive influence in the community.
Members that have shown support included the Wangaratta Fire Brigade, South Wangaratta brigade, VEMTC Training Campus and D23 Headquarters. Stickers were placed on fire trucks and district cars that are clearly visible and show support and raise awareness of the cause.
