Early morning call out in Nutfield

It was an early start for CFA crews this morning when they were call to a house fire in on Mine Road in Nutfield.

The call came in just after 4.30am this morning and crews were on scene shortly after.

CFA Rostered Duty Officer Gavin Wright said the 20m x 30m weather board house was well alight when crews arrive.

“The fire was called under control just after 5am, and crews will remain on the scene for some time to ensure the area is safe,” he said.

There were no occupants home at the time of the fire.

A fire investigation will take place today to determine the cause of the fire.

CFA brigade form Arthurs Creek, Doreen, Eltham, Hurstbridge, St Andrews and Wattle Glen all attended the incident.

Police, Ambulance Power Co also attended the incident.
