Edenhope officially opens new joint facility

CFA Chairperson and SES Board Member Claire Higgins officially opened a new joint facility in Edenhope which provides a 5 bay Motor Room, 6 car parking spaces, toilet and rain water harvesting facilities.

On Sunday 21st June 2015 the community of Edenhope got together to celebrate the achievement of officially opening their new joint CFA/SES Facility.  

The improved facilities will enhance response capability of the SES and CFA in Edenhope and the meeting and training facilities will strengthen the CFA brigade and SES Unit.  The meeting room will be available for groups within the Edenhope community to hire for meetings and activities. 

Edenhope Fire Brigade currently has 50 Volunteer members, 32 fire-fighters and 17 brigade members.

The Edenhope SES unit currently has 16 members including 1 Unit Controller.  Their major focus is on Road Crashes and Rescue.  Other roles include: Flood Storm Safety, Traffic Management, Rescue Boat and Land Search.
