Eureka Climb Emergency Services Challenge

Are you ready for a challenge?

Do you want to take on Australia’s biggest vertical race held at one of the world’s tallest residential buildings?

The Eureka Climb is on Sunday 15 November 2015.

Participants will climb 1642 steps all the way up 88 levels to the Eureka Skydeck.

The Emergency Services Challenge is on during the Eureka Climb.

As part of the event, the Emergency Services Challenge will have its own wave times and whilst official uniforms are optional, it is up to you to challenge yourself and wear your uniforms and full kit to tackle the 1,642 steps to the finish line on level 88!

There are two categories you can choose from:

1. Climber – Emergency Services

This is a timed climb for those that are in it to race.  A prize will be awarded for the fastest team and individual.

2. Climber – Firefighter Full Kit

This is a timed climb dedicated for firefighters wearing their full kit (see below for details).  A prize will be awarded for the fastest team and individual.

More information on the FULL KIT category:

Eureka Climb will devote wave times for FULL KIT Firefighter participants. This is for fire fighters who choose to go the whole hog and complete the climb with breathing apparatus and full protective clothing Places are limited for this extra special category.

Full Kit includes:

•    Structural Fire Fighting uniform (tunic and trousers)
•    Helmet
•    Boots
•    Gloves
•    Breathing Apparatus set

NOTE: BA’s are not being provided by the event organisers.  This is something you will need to provide along with the rest of your kit. If you can’t get a hold of a BA set but still want to wear the rest of your gear then you should enter the regular Emergency Services category.

The official launch of the Eureka Climb will be on Wednesday 21st October.

The CFA-SRA’s Christine Henderson will be present at the launch to talk first hand with representatives from the MFB & Victoria Police about their previous experiences of participating in the climb.
