A 38-year-old male was pronounced dead at a house fire in Burnside in Melbourne's west.
CFA crews were called to a fire at a single-storey brick home on Strickland Crescent, Burnside at 11.54am.
Crews arrived on scene to find a bedroom on fire, with a male trapped inside the room.
Crews from Caroline Springs, Melton and MFB attended and immediately began a search for the male.
The male was located and pronounced dead at the scene. Victoria Police will now investigate the man's death.
The fire was brought under control just before 12.30pm.
Seven trucks attended. Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
