Firefighters attended an early morning fire at a dilapidated house in Birdwoodton, near Mildura.
At about 1.30am crews were called to a fire which fully engulfed the vacant weatherboard farm house, taking 40 minutes and about 20 firefighters to bring under control.
Seven brigades attended from Mildura, Merbein, Irymple and Red Cliffs.
Merbein Fire Brigade captain Trevor Willcock said crews provided asset protection to a bungalow neighbouring the old farm house.
CFA fire investigators will determine the cause.
