CFA crews responded to a fire at a panel beating business in Ferntree Gully this morning (15 September).
Just after 8am black smoke was reported coming from the William Street building.
CFA District 13 Operations Officer Greg Christison said firefighters were quick to respond to the fire.
“There was a very effective fire fight to contain the blaze to the spray booth,” he said.
“This call out was a great example of career staff and volunteers working together.”
CFA crews from Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Upper Ferntree Gully and Dandenong attended with police and ambulance.
Fire investigators will look into the cause.
