CFA has brought a fire at a recycling yard in Delacombe under control.
Seven appliances from Ballarat City, Haddon, Sebastopol, Smythes Creek and Wendouree were called to the business in Elizabeth Street just after noon today.
District 15 Operations Manager Alfred Mason said the fire started when a burn-off got away.
He said a pile of tyres, timber sheeting, old gas cylinders, among other things, caught fire and took crews more than half an hour to bring under control.
OO Mason said the fire was not threatening other businesses.
