CFA Firefighters from Golden Square were called out at 7.27 pm last night to a unit fire on Kirby Street, Golden Square.
CFA Golden Square was supported by FRV Bendigo. The crews worked together to have the blaze under control in half an hour.
While one unit was destroyed, crews worked hard to ensure the fire did not spread to other units in the complex.
The unit’s occupant was not home at the time of the fire. Firefighters remained on scene for about two hours last night to mop up. Victoria Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
