Fiskville Enquiry Hotline for members

The suspension of operations at CFA’s Fiskville training facility has left some people who work and train at Fiskville feeling upset and uncertain about what comes next. We know that the future of the facility is in doubt and many of you have questions about what this means for you.

As I said to Fiskville staff yesterday, the future of the training facility is unclear, however, I want to stress that further testing of the mains water will need to take place before we can determine our immediate next steps.  We also need to ensure that no other risks are present at the site so that the safety of Fiskville staff and visitors is not compromised at any time.

To help answer members’ questions, we have set up a Fiskville Enquiry Hotline on 1800 628 616 which is being run by the Health and Wellbeing team. I encourage you to call the hotline which will resigster your issues, concerns and queries.

Additionally CFA has a number of other support services available and I’d again urge members who are feeling concerned to contact any of the following:

  • Your local Peer Support program
  • The Member Assistance Program on 1300 795 711
  • Chaplaincy Program on 1800 337 068.

A hotline will also be made available for any non-CFA members who may have worked, trained or visited the site. We expect to have this phone line operating from Thursday 5 March and I will provide you further details tomorrow.

We will continue to keep you updated as more information comes to hand.
