Fiskville inquiry public hearings

The Victorian Parliamentary Inquiry into the CFA training college at Fiskville will begin with its first public hearing on Monday 18 May.

Seven separate parties are to give public evidence at the first hearing, including authors of the Monash University report.

CFA has, and will continue to, support the inquiry and provide any assistance as required.

The Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Parliamentary Committee is overseeing the inquiry, chaired by Bronwyn Halfpenny MP.

More than 400 submissions were received prior to the 27 March cut-off date, including from CFA and author of the Independent Fiskville Investigation Professor Rob Joy.

Two further public hearings will be held on 25 May and 15 June this year.

Transcripts of each hearing can be viewed here.

The committee is due to provide its interim report by 30 June, with a final report to be presented no later than 1 December this year.
