Public Sector Week 2015

Public Sector Week promotes the role and achievements of the public sector among the broader community.

Taking place from 22 to 26 June 2015 this week will feature more than 80 events around Melbourne and Victoria, showcasing the diverse and essential work the public sector proudly delivers to improve the lives of Victorians.

The launch will be held at Melbourne’s Federation Square on Monday 22 June at 5:30pm with the Lord Mayor of Melbourne officially opening the week. Following the launch there will be a performance by the Victorian State School Spectacular.

Many events are open to the public including:

• Melbourne Zoo and Museum tours
• Twilight Launch of Public Sector Week
• Wayne Quilliam Indigenous Public Administrators
• Victorian Government Information Hub.

CFA will also be participating in Public Sector Week by taking part in tours at the State Control Centre, open only to public sector workers.

The tours will allow public sector people to see how other emergency service agencies operate on a state level.

Each tour consists of presentations on the State Control Centre workings, mapping, planned burning, public information and campaigns.

CFA will be presenting on public information during emergencies. Following the presentation each tour group will be shown each unit of the Control Centre.

Unfortunately due to popular demand the CFA tours have been booked out already.
