CFA continues to support its youth

Victorian Youth Week 2020 (3-12 April 2020) has been postponed to later in the year as part of widespread measures to combat coronavirus (COVID-19).

Youth Week is a celebration of people aged 12 to 25, shining a light on the enormous talent, creativity and community spirit of young Victorians. More information on the postponement of events can be found on the Youth Central website.

We think it’s important to continue to celebrate the enormous contribution of youth in our organisation and, together with CFA’s Inclusion and Fairness team, we’ll be taking the opportunity to share some incredible stories over the coming days.

We spoke with the CFA Volunteer Programs Youth Leader Jen Clement about why it's important to have youths involved in CFA.

"One of the really great things about getting young people involved with CFA is it really helps to build trust, collaboration and inter-generational understanding and relationships," Jen said.

"We can all learn from each other, whatever age we are."
