Melbourne Heart players joined the CFA to help kick off Fire Action Week, with a FireReady clinic at Epping Primary School.
Striker Dylan Macallister and defender Paulo Retre ran students through their soccer skills, while parents talked with Epping brigade members about how to plan and prepare for a fire.
Dylan Macallister said he was pleased to help promote fire safety, and that it was important that parents knew how to be FireReady.
Fire Action Week continues all week, culminating in CFA Sunday where hundreds of CFA brigades will open their doors to the public.
