Echuca brigade was called to a rescue in Echuca’s Victoria Park Reserve on 30 July.
Crews were notified at 9.20am of the high angle rescue of a male who was trapped on top of the Memorial Red Gum Arch monument.
District 20 Operations Officer John Cutting said crews worked quickly to assure the male’s safety and establish a rescue strategy.
“Echuca Fire Brigade made it on scene to find a young male who had become trapped on top of the arch through misadventure,” Mr Cutting said.
“The crew’s first concern was the male’s condition, and a ladder was set up for paramedics to be able to reach the patient.
“Bendigo CFA attended in their ladder platform to carry out the high angle rescue.
“The male was successfully and safely rescued from the top of the arch and left in the hands of paramedics who transported the patient to hospital.
“CFA, Echuca SES, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police all worked as a team for a successful outcome.”
Two CFA trucks from Echuca and Bendigo were in attendance.
