Hotel destroyed in Sea Lake blaze

CFA firefighters were called to an early morning fire at the Sea Lake hotel today, 10 April.

Sea Lake Fire Brigade Captain Paul Allan said crews responded quickly to the scene and worked effectively as a team.

“Brigades arrived and got straight to work to contain the fire,” Mr Allan said.

“Swan Hill arrived promptly with their Salvage unit to assess the building’s condition and provide their expertise to help with our firefight and investigation.”

Breathing Apparatus was in used by fire crews. Ambulance Victoria, Police and building surveyors also responded.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, with CFA and police investigators working to determine a cause.
