House collapses in fire

CFA firefighters were called to a fully involved house fire in Narre Warren North this afternoon.

Update @ 1.15pm, 11/5/15. Fire is now under control. Occupants of the house are accounted for. They weren't home at the time of the fire. House is approximately 50 squares, destroyed with partial collapse. Cause will be investigated this afternoon.

CFA was called to the fire in Carmen Court around 12.20pm and found the house fully alight.

District 8 Operations Officer Paul Summons said there had been some structural collapse as a result of the fire.

“We’ve sent nine CFA trucks including the ladder platform due to the size of the two storey house which is completely involved by fire,” he said.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

CFA crews from Narre Warren North, Narre Warren, Dandenong, Hallam, Scoresby and Casey Group are on scene.
