CFA crews are responding to a house fire on Swansea Road, Mount Evelyn.
The fire was called in at 8.15am and was under control around one hour later.
CFA District 13 Operations Officer Andrew Booth said the single storey weatherboard house was destroyed.
Police are attending for traffic control.
Around 10 trucks from Bayswater, Lilydale, Montrose, Mooroolbark, Mt Evelyn and Yellingbo are attending.
