Inter-brigade brilliance at VFBV Junior State Championships

Over the second weekend of March, the collective junior brigades of Research and Diamond Creek proudly represented their community at the VFBV State Urban Junior Championships in Mooroopna.

The unity and camaraderie exhibited by our junior members, both in training sessions and during the competition has been truly inspiring to see.

Our junior brigade participants eagerly took part in various races such as the Marshall, Hydrant race, and Y coupling. Their enthusiasm for one another, as well as their readiness to engage and support their peers from other brigades, underscored the significant lessons they've learned about teamwork and solidarity through our collaborative efforts between brigades.

Witnessing the bonds strengthen and friendships grow between the Junior Brigade members of Diamond Creek and Research since the amalgamation of our development programs in 2023 has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing our members collaborate seamlessly over the weekend reinforces the undeniable value of both the Junior Development Volunteer Program (JDVP) and the VFBV state championships.

The experience of competing together and witnessing our junior members' exemplary teamwork serves as a testament to the importance of fostering inter-brigade collaboration and support within our community. It is heartening to observe the growth and development of our young brigade members, both as individuals and as part of a cohesive team, through such meaningful initiatives.

Congratulations to all JDVP members on such a fantastic weekend.
