CFA was called to a shed fire in Pringles Road at Anakie just after 9pm last night.
Firefighters found a chicken shed, approximately 100m X 15m in size, fully alight.
The shed contained around 12,500 chickens which all perished in the fire.
Other chicken sheds on the property were not impacted.
The fire was brought under control around 10.45pm and was declared safe at 12.35am.
There were 20 CFA vehicles on scene which were supported by FRV crews.
The cause will be investigated.
