Leongatha Korumburra Group of brigades recently participated in a Group training exercise along with local SES volunteers.
The day was a round robin type event with CFA volunteers and SES volunteers joining together to see a range of activities and vehicles.
A number of new Tankers from the Group were there to allow members to familiarise themselves not only with new gear and equipment layout but with the various types of burn over protection. This was seen as being of great value to volunteers who may crew these vehicles in this seasons Strike teams.
A collar tank was also used to enable members to practice drafting techniques on various tankers.
Poowong had thier Ultra Light on show again allowing members to familiarise themselves with a different type of vehicle.
The local SES had a great display with their road rescue gear and fantastic lighting plant. It was great to have them involved as many of the brigades often work with them at incidents.
The day finished off with a great lunch provided by the Salvation Army.
