Murray Edwards of Taggerty was awarded “Life Membership” of the Taggerty Fire Brigade (part of CFA District 12).
At a recent dinner held at Saladin Lodge, Narbethong, Murray, along with members were awarded certificates, medals and clasps in recognition of their volunteer service.
Scott Kerr also accepted “Life Membership” on behalf of his father Peter Kerr, who passed away earlier this year.
Both Murray and Peter volunteered for many years as active fire fighters and in various other capacities.
Both men have held the position of Captain with Taggerty Fire Brigade.
In addition, Murray has also served as a Deputy Group Officer with Alexandra Group and was awarded a 45 year clasp.
