A grass fire turned into a classroom fire in Evans Road Lynbrook at the Nanaksar Sikh Temple.
The fire started just after 3:00pm on Thursday 3rd Jan. CFA crews were on scene from Cranbourne, Skye, Hallam, Hampton Park and Narre Warren.
Senior Station Officer Darren Padgett from Cranbourne brigade was the Incident Controller and it is believed the grass fire spread under the portable classroom and ignited the building and storage shed containing a tractor and other equipment.
The cause of the fire was deemed suspicious and is being investigated.
