On 22 April Mandurang Fire Brigade held its brigade awards night celebrations recognising many years of volunteer service to their community.
455 years of service to CFA were recognised on the night for 20 members of the brigade along with the recognition of 15 members who received National Emergency Medals for the 2009 fires, which were presented by the Acting Chair of CFA's Board, John Peberdy.
Two notable awards were for the President and Training Officer Graeme Pearce and Ruth Pearce, former Communications Officer, who received 100 years of service awards between them. It’s wonderful to have such a wealth of experience within the brigade and to be able to recognise these members for their hard work.
The function was held at the Foundry Hotel complex and a great time was had by all.
