MCG Country Game CFA Parade

Round 4 of the 2016 AFL Football Season saw the introduction of the first Country Game which included a parade of proud CFA volunteers around the MCG. 

The game was held on Saturday 16 April and members from the District 02 were there to enjoy the day.

Malcolm & Maryanne Murdoch from Campbell’s Creek along with Peter Wilson from Harcourt were among the members who attended the Inaugural Geelong vs Essendon Country Game. The parade included 250 CFA Volunteers from around Victoria and was led by Chief Officer Joe Buffone and Craig Lapsley. There were 42,723 people at the game with Geelong coming out the winners.
