Saturday night was freezing cold, but that didn’t deter 35 people getting together and enjoying the Metcalfe Brigades “Mid Off-Season BBQ”. A lot was eaten (even if we did forget the hamburgers until last) and the salads and desserts were fantastic.
It was good to see newcomers to Metcalfe coming along and joining in. After a welcome from Murray, the Metcalfe Captain reassured all that, despite the current upheavals, Metcalfe Brigade will be there when needed. Margaret, from the Metcalfe Community association reminded everyone about the upcoming “Winter Feast and Mystery Bottle Auction”, extending an invitation to all to come along on the 23rd of July and just have fun.
