Naringal brigade station opening

On Sunday 19 July, the Hopkins Curdies Group Headquarters and Naringal Fire Station were officially opened by Assistant Chief Officer Bob Barry.

Approximately 65 people attended, including both past and present members of the brigade, group and District 5.

The $504,000 new station and group HQ provides state-of-the-art facilities for over 360 volunteers within the Hopkins Curdies Group, ensuring that the group and Naringal brigade are able to continue to respond and support incidents quickly and efficiently.

Collectively, 535 years of service medals were presented to members of Naringal brigade by Operations Officer Paul Marshall.

Hopkins Curdies Group Officer Gary Hayes acknowledged the extensive service of nine members of the group, presenting them with Hopkins Curdies Group Honorary Life Memberships.
