Nominations open for Women’s Honour Roll

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 Victorian Honour Roll of Women.

The event recognises the contribution of inspirational women and their role shaping communities in Victoria, across Australia and beyond.

CFA Chair Claire Higgins said there were about 12,500 women across CFA, from those in front line roles to the Board and Chair role.

“We are encouraging members to nominate someone who has excelled in their role, who has demonstrated the passion and commitment to make a difference at CFA, and contributed to the organisation,” Claire said.

“We want to hear about women who act as role models and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”

During its 14 years, the Honour Roll has celebrated the achievements of 562 Victorian women in areas such as emergency services, medicine, social justice and business.

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday, 21 August 2015 and can be made here.

Successful nominees will be inducted at a special ceremony on International Women’s Day, Tuesday 8 March 2016.
