Paragliding accident at Flinders

At 1618hrs this afternoon CFA crews responded to reports of a paragliding accident at the paragliding launch ramp in Gold Links Rd, Flinders.

CFA specialist high angle rope teams from Dandenong and Frankston responded, as well as crews from surrounding brigades.

The male came into difficulty after launch and landed on the cliff face below the launch ramp.  He landed approximately 10-15 metres above the beach.

CFA crews moved the patient to a basket stretcher where he was lowered to the beach.

He was then transferred to an Ambulance Victoria helicopter and transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
