Paws-itive outcome after puppy rescue

It’s not every day that fireys get called to a dog stuck under a house.

Nine-week-old puppy Lexi is back in the arms of her grateful owners after a two-hour ordeal trapped under the family home.

Firefighters from Yarrambat and South Morang brigades were called to the home in Yarrambat at about 4.30pm on Thursday (17 January) to find Lexi’s owners unable to access the adventurous puppy.

After two hours of searching Lexi was found in a small space under the family’s hot water service.

“We are just so happy and grateful for all your help and dedication in finding our puppy,” the family said.

We think Lexi is just as grateful as her owners.
