Plenty Valley Christian College (PVCC) recently approached Doreen Fire Brigade to provide some training to their staff in the correct operation of the various types of fire extinguishers located at the school.
As a number of Doreen brigade volunteers have children attending PVCC, we were very keen to assist.
The enthusiastic group under careful instruction of Captain Maries and Lieutenant McHugh were able to deploy a range of fire extinguishers
The look of satisfaction on the faces of PVCC staff as they successfully operated the extinguishers made the effort all the more worthwhile.
Feedback from staff was that they felt more comfortable in using a fire extinguisher should the need ever arise.
